About SVG
Scalable Vector Graphics
A W3C format, first published in 2001, that describes shapes, paths and text in XML instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. Convert SVG to PNG when an app, document or upload form needs a fixed-size bitmap instead of a vector.
About HDR
Radiance HDR
The HDR format from the Radiance renderer, storing each pixel as red, green and blue values with a shared exponent byte, so it holds a far wider brightness range than 8-bit images. Most HDRI environment maps ship in this format. Use it to light 3D scenes, or convert from it to get an ordinary 8-bit preview.
