About VTT
WebVTT
Web Video Text Tracks, the W3C caption format for the HTML track element. It looks like SRT but adds cue positioning, styling and metadata. Use it for captions on web video players, which read WebVTT natively.

A plain-text formatting syntax created by John Gruber in 2004, where symbols such as # and * mark headings and emphasis. CommonMark and GitHub Flavored Markdown are the common dialects. Use it for READMEs, notes and documentation kept in git or pasted into tools that render Markdown.
